The stories of survivors and those who saved them play a defining role in presenting the events. The integrated stories proceed progressively from one topic to the next and personalize each episode of the historical past. A team of content developers working for the museum produced studio recordings of more than 150 personal interviews on three continents.
In 2022, commemorating the 77th anniversary of the liberation of the Budapest Ghetto, EMIH published a selection of 77 abridged versions of these interviews.
At the start of their journey, visitors can listen to short personal stories about the Hungarian Jewish identity and the historical events experienced in Hungary. Visitors can meet famous and ordinary people virtually. Besides the projectors, interesting facts and figures also aid learning.
